Implant Supported Dentures

Are you seeking implant supported dentures for yourself or a family member? The general dentists at Expressions Dental Clinic in Calgary NW are here to help you get the care you are looking for.

What is an Implant Supported Denture?

It is a type of over-denture, which is supported by and attached to dental implants, which are securely screwed into your jaw. Usually, a regular denture rests on the gums and implants do not support it. Dental Implant Dentures are used when a person doesn’t have teeth in the jaw; however, there is still enough bone structure left to support the placement of implants. An Implant Supported Denture has special attachments, which snap onto attachments on the implants.

Who can opt for the treatment?

What are the things related to Implant Supported Dentures that you should know?

If you choose to undergo this treatment, your dentures will be much more stable than before, reducing the uncomfortable feeling of dentures that are loose. The treatment will also enable you to eat foods that you could not eat before! However, a patient still needs to be careful about chewing hard or sticky foods as they could potentially damage the denture. You should also be aware that no single solution is ideal for every smile. We will be happy to discuss all of your options during your initial visit at Expressions Dental Clinic.
